IPMX 2010-2011

Commencing from "April 05, 2010 March 05, 2011"

Background

Business success in India today is increasingly contingent on events and processes that happen across the globe, as can be seen to a great extent in the financial markets, leading business sectors such as IT, ITeS, BPO etc, as well as core sectors like steel aluminum, pharma and telecom sectors. The impending globalization of the organized retail sector, with both Indian and overseas players operating at global levels of operational excellence and scale, along with the agricultural sector opening up vide WTO ultimately, will indeed be the tipping point in the Indian economy's globalization. There will be no looking back, and firms operating in India will need to compete with firms which are global in reach and expertise with the competition being similar both in Indian and overseas markets. With the increasingly globalised nature and context of business which operate in the Indian economy, a contemporary business requirement across sectors is the need for managers who have exposure and skills that span diverse cultures. Dealing with these challenges requires an expanded horizon of management thinking and leadership which can be achieved through continuous improvement and up gradation of capabilities, skills and changes in mindset.

The NOIDA Campus mission states, in part, its dedication to the "continuing excellence of professional managers and entrepreneurs, by providing a foundation of learning, personal growth and social responsibility to adapt to the changing business realities and prepare them for the challenges of contemporary management careers...". The distinctive positioning of Noida Campus as a leader in executive education is to be accomplished through long term executive education programs.
